The focus of our research group is molecular science as it pertains to biophysical and biomedical disciplines.
Focus areas include: environmental, geological, and medical microbiology, as well environmental and geological chemistry and mineralogy.
Dr. Lower has been supported with $2.3M in research grants from the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, and the Department of Energy.
Dr. Lower has received a number of awards including an NSF CAREER award. Dr. Lower and his group have been published in Science and Nature, as well as leading, discipline specific journals like Journal of Bacteriology, Applied and Environmental Microbiology, Langmuir, Environmental Science & Technology, Geochimica, and American Mineralogist. |
