Cutting edge research in biophysical and biomedical science. Research areas include: environmental, geological, and medical microbiology, as well environmental and geological chemistry.

 

Dr. Lower has been supported with $2.3M in research grants from the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, and the Department of Energy.

 

Dr. Lower and his group have published in Science and Nature, as well as leading, discipline specific journals like Journal of Bacteriology, Applied and Environmental Microbiology, Langmuir, Environmental Science & Technology, Geochimica, and American Mineralogist.
