652 Hydrogeologic Field Methods
This senior/graduate-level course builds on the
concepts introduced in Hydrogeology 651 and provides students with hands-on
experience in designing, performing, and analyzing field tests. Topics covered include: well logging, pumping tests, slug tests, stream gaging, tracer tests, and geochemical sampling. Several demonstrations of field methodologies are
performed and field trips are made to local sites. The camping trip to Mammoth Caves is a welcome change from the classroom grind and the Roach Coffee and the 5-Way Chili (with Spam) are beyond most people's culinary experience.
