Vacuum Extraction Line
This is a view of the
extraction
line as seen from above. To the left, hanging off the side of
the table, is a custom fabricated, low-blank (double-vacuum, "Staudacher
type"), resistively-heated
furnace system
and sample chamber. To the right,
on a separate table and only partially visible, is the laser
system. Visible on the extraction line are the custom-made
getters. The Mass Spec itself is on a separate table just visible
above the extraction line. Barely visible under the table is the
pumping system, pneumatic controls and and air-spike system.
