SES students win prizes at Undergraduate Research Forum

Eugnia Hyung and Claire Mondro, both third year undergraduate majors in Geological Sciences, won prizes for best research presentations at the 2009 Undergraduate Research Forum. Eugenia's research on high-pressure mineral physics is advised by Dr. Wendy Panero of SES and Claire's research on riverine organic carbon transport is advised by Dr. Anne Carey of SES.
The 2009 Undergraduate Research Forum was jointly sponsored by Biological Sciences and by Mathematical and Physical Sciences. This year, 10 students majoring in or doing research in the School of Earth Sciences were among the 76 students who presented their research posters on Friday, April 24, 2009.
