Do you or anyone out in SX land know a company that can retip SX50
filaments? There may be several companies that do this, if so, how do the
prices compare?

JohnF says: Ian Steele [steele@geo1.uchicago.edu--thats geo-one,not GEOL]
has a neat little "sx-50 parts source list" that lists handy sources of
some parts, that maybe he can post to the list - hint. To quote Ian:
SPI Supplies, PO Box 656, 569 East Gay St, West Chester PA 19381-0656
phone 800 242-4774 fax 215 436 5755
--They have a catalog of standard SEM supplies. They rebuild filaments for
SX50. The charge is about $230 [in 1993] when 20 bases are returned.
Specify
rebuild 5220RB, 4 mil wire, for CAMECA SX50 [end quote]
====>>> Anyone else out there know of any other rebuilders, and of 'track
record' of rebuilt filaments??
