John,
Will Lamb and I here at A&M strongly support the concept of a Western
Hemisphere SX50 Users Group. We would both like to add our names to the letter
being sent to Claude Conty and Cameca. The second draft of the letter is
acceptable to us. A letter like this could include many different points and be
written in several different "tones"; the second draft seems to strike a good
balance, not being too confrontational yet still stating our concerns. The only
change that I would suggest would be to use the more formal "Mr. Conty" rather
"Claude" in the letter's salutation. The word is that Claude Conty does not
appreciate being called Claude except by family or close friends.
