Thanks for the note. As far I as am concerned, I think it's great that
you have volunteered to set up the listserver (6 months or so ago, someone
at a U.S. lab had expressed a desire to do so, but that never came about).
Go for it.

One comment I have: while certainly now the traffic load will be light,
I can imagine at times the load could pick up. One bitch I've had about
some
listservers (i.e. the microscopy one) is that they do not support the
"digest" option (where a subscriber gets just one burst of traffic per day
from the server (which could be x messages), which I appreciate. Does your
software handle this? Alternately, there could also be a moderator, which I
have acted like somewhat, particularly when say 3 or 4 or 5 people respond
to a question by a user: I just paste all the comments together and send
out
one transmission. You probably should play it by ear and do what seems to
make the most sense.

Just some thoughts.
