Subject: Cameca header size

As I mentioned in class today, to import a Cameca image (generally, over
the network) to your mac/pc/workstation, you will need to strip off the
header. For example, the NIH Image software has an option to strip it off
(part of the import or read in):

the size of the header is 1056 bytes

the rest should just be your image.

store this info away for a rainy day
