Subject: bug fix tape?
From: (Fred Scott) (by way of johnf@geology.wisc.edu (John Fournelle))

Hello John

After sending off my bug list for Quantiview 3.0, I asked our local agent
if he had heard about the next software release in 1995 (he hadn't) and the
proposed "patch" tape of software bug fixes (ditto). He faxed Paris for a
response and received the following reply :

"Michel Outrequin has already received, via an American customer and
Andrew Davies, Fred's last list of bugs and will comment if any of
them are a) not really bugs b) are new and how to avoid them. There is no
immediate plan for a new version release."

"As for the future, all effort at present is devoted to sorting out the SX
100 software and writing the IMS 6 F software. I cannot tell you, nor can
anyone else here, when and if a new SX 50/51 software version will be
available. We hope eventually to be able to retrofit (for a price) the SX
100 software, which is so much more user friendly."

I have sent this to Andy Davis for comment.
