John-
Thanks for the email. We have the users group thing just about ready to
go. Delay while getting the probe course going. With about 15 students it
really takes all of my time. They will not require so much direct support
after this week, so I hope to have more time to catch up on things. Would
you like to add additional members to the file started here? I believe we
can have it well along by the end of the week. I thought we should begin
with a postal effort since there are many on the list for which we do not
have an email address yet. Might as well make the first contact for
everybody a letter and brief Q&A sheet to be answered by email. Any ideas
on what would be a good to include in a set of questions? This something I
have not thought about much yet.
We have a method of collecting an image, automatic particle identification,
selecting particle centers for analysis and driving the probe for automatic
analysis of all of those centers. Although the method seems to work, we
have not yet collected the first data set. The particular set of particles
we will use this for first is so diverse that the usual type of declar file
may not work. But for the problem you mention, I think it might just do
the job. I could email the instructions for a test and evaluation.
Glad to hear things are going well there.
