Electron Microprobe Analyzer (EMA)

ARL SEMQ upgraded with digital readout electronics and Probe for Windows software with both energy dispersive spectrometer and six wavelength dispersive spectrometers specifically designed for quantitative elemental analysis

• Analysis of elements from B  (this microprobe is uniquely capable for low mass element measurements) to U
• Quantitative chemical microanalysis with 0.01% detection limits routinely; 0.003% for some elements
• Six high selectivity wavelength dispersive spectrometers operate simultaneously (each has two selectable crystals)
• Rapid spectral acquisition with energy dispersive analyzer
• High-resolution (1 um beam diameter) nondestructive analysis
