
Computer Facilities
The computers in the School of Earth Sciences are state-of-the-art. The Kresge/Shell Computer Laboratory has 18 PCs and access to Linux and SUN workstations, color printers, and poster printer available to researchers and students alike. Geodetic science research is conducted using a scalable 60-node computing cluster running GPS processing software and RAID based data archive with a total data capacity of > 50 TB with a scalable backup architecture.
In addition, the Ohio Supercomputer Center located on campus is one of the premier computing facilities in the country. Data-intensive research and teaching are handled easily by this network.
